The advice (trick) as per Loren Coleman, who himself is a CRYPTOZOOLOGIST, is to become good at a particular discipline [I guess like Dr. Arthur Horn, anthropologist, who became so good at anthropology, that he quit his job at Colorado State University and started to lecture around the US about the loopholes in the sad theory of evolution.]
So pick a field-like PRIMATES ~ or FOSSIL MEN or even GIANT SQUIDS...find a discipline that matches up with that interest like anthropology-zoology-linguistics, etc., pick a college that is GOOD in that discipline and with a little bit of [[what I call """crap detection"""]] you may find your nitch in cryptozoology...[[MAYBE EVEN BECOME FAMOUS!]]
